Doorways Trilogy download
Posted On April 18, 2011
I still have many people asking me about my ‘Doorways Trilogy’ (The House of Many Rooms, The Book of Plans and The Unmaker) even though it’s been out of print for some time. Second hand copies are hard to find, too. So I decided to do something about it. I’ve posted PDF versions for you all, for free download. You can find them on The Doorways Trilogy page of this site.
Eventually I’ll have proper eBook versions available, but I hope that these will be of some value in the meantime.

Thanks, Michael! I’m loving your Laws of Magic series so far, and it’s fantastic to be able to re-read the House of Many Rooms (which I borrowed so long ago from the library that I’d forgotten you were its author).
Looking forward to buying ebook copies once they’re available 🙂
Hello Ann, I’m glad to hear you’re enjoying ‘The Laws of Magic’, especially since ‘Hour of Need’ (LoM Book 6) is out next week.
I’m working on the ebook versions right now but – as usual – converting the files isn’t as easy as it should be …
Hi michael, i am a fan of your work and am really enjoying your Laws of Magic series, its funny, its got action and u can’t not fall for the little romance in there, all in all a brillent set of books i can’t wait for more of ur work in the future
Hi Robert, glad you’re enjoying ‘Laws of Magic’. It’s been fun writing it – I really enjoy the old worldliness of the times I’m writing about. So much so, that I’m writing an entirely new series set in the early years of the twentieth century. Keep an eye out for it!
capital, have u thought of a name yet
Still playing around with a few titles … Nearly there. Will announce soon!
I live in Sydney, Australia and I have checked so many libraries and book stores but I cannot find Laws of magic 4: Time of trial. I am dying to read it and I was wondering if you could somehow post an eBook version of it for download so that I can read it. Please, I must know what happens next in the series!
Thank You!
Hello Hanieya
I’m sorry you can’t find ‘Time of Trial’ – that’s frustrating, all round. Don’t forget that any bookstore will be happy to order ToT for you, if you ask them.
ebook versions are available from Amazon and Kobo, as well as the Angus and Robertson website. If you’d prefer the hard copy, I know it’s available from Booktopia (http://www.booktopia.com.au/) and Fishpond (http://www.fishpond.com.au).
Let me know if you still have trouble.
Best wishes
Michael
Michael thank you for making the doorways trilogy available as a pdf. I remember it fondly from when I was a teenage and I was thrilled to find I enjoyed it just as much as an adult.
My pleasure, Catherine. I hope HoMR is finding a whole new set of fans this way.

La Toya
Found the pdf 🙂
Thanks
I hope you enjoy!
Nice one! Thanks heaps for making these available!
Thanks Michael! I read this trilogy from my high school library years ago. I still think of them every now and then (I was a big fan) and often look for them when I am at used book stores. I remember the sense of adventure and exploration I felt when reading these books. I am a big fan of when authors create a world that I can really get lost in. And you did just that.
Thanks for posting the PDF’s 🙂
My pleasure, Brent – and I hope it might get you to explore some of my more recent books, too!
